General Instructions for eBooks

1. First time use requires download and installation of the following software.
   1. Download and install Overdrive Media Console to your personal computer. www.overdrive.com
   2. Download and install Adobe Digital Editions. www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions
   3. SONY USERS ONLY: Download and install Sony Reader Library Software. ebookstore.sony.com
2. Go to the catalog at wlnonline.lib.overdrive.com
3. It is recommended to use Advanced Search and to check "only show titles with copies available" at the bottom of the search screen.
4. After locating the eBook, add the item to your basket. (You can have up to 3 items in your basket.)
5. Proceed to checkout.
6. Select Westmoreland Information Network as your library and enter your library card number. (Excessive fines or an expired card will not be accepted. Please call the library at 724-568-2212 to remedy this problem.)
7. Confirm checkout.
8. Click on Download under the title, then Open.
9. The item should open in Adobe Digital Edition Software.
10. Connect your eReader to the computer via USB Cable.
11. Drag eBook to the eReader listed in the left column.
12. Properly disconnect eReader and enjoy!
